About OWA (Omar Welfare Association)

OWA is a federally tax-exempt nonprofit organization headquartered in Houston, Texas, United States. Established with the mission of empowering individuals, families, and communities through education, legal assistance, healthcare initiatives, and economic development programs, OWA has become a trusted resource for underserved populations, immigrant communities, entrepreneurs, women, and families seeking access to opportunities and essential services.

For more than six years, OWA has assisted thousands of individuals and families across the United States and internationally by providing immigration-related support, legal service coordination, community education, and referral services. The organization works closely with qualified legal professionals and accredited representatives to assist clients with matters before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the National Visa Center (NVC), U.S. Immigration Courts (EOIR), U.S. Consulates and Embassies abroad, the Department of State, the Department of Homeland Security, and other federal immigration and administrative agencies.

In addition to its immigration services, OWA has actively participated in healthcare and public health initiatives aimed at improving community well-being. The organization has implemented and supported federally funded healthcare projects, including programs focused on women’s health education, preventive healthcare awareness, healthcare accessibility, and community outreach. Through partnerships with healthcare providers, public health agencies, and community organizations, OWA has worked to increase access to critical health information and services for underserved populations.

OWA also serves as a bridge between community members and government agencies, helping individuals access resources and navigate complex systems. The organization has assisted community members in communicating with law enforcement agencies, victim assistance programs, public service departments, and other governmental entities when seeking support, protection, information, or access to available services. By fostering constructive engagement between communities and public institutions, OWA helps strengthen trust, improve access to services, and promote community safety and well-being.

Beyond legal and healthcare services, OWA supports entrepreneurship education, workforce development, economic empowerment, international business cooperation, and community development initiatives. Through educational programs, networking opportunities, and strategic partnerships, the organization seeks to create sustainable pathways for economic advancement and self-sufficiency.
